About the Game

Radical Dreamers (also known as 激进梦想家 or 梦想家) is a text-based visual novel adventure game in the Chrono series, originally for Satellaview on Super Famicom. Players control Serge, joining thieves Kid and Magil (Gil) to infiltrate Viper Manor, battle monsters, and seek the Frozen Flame while uncovering ties to Chrono Trigger lore like Zeal and Lucca. Gameplay relies on choice-driven text scenarios with timing elements in combat and multiple branching paths/endings, including humorous alternate stories. It stands out for its atmospheric narrative, darker tone, Yasunori Mitsuda's music, and exploration of themes like destiny and revenge.
