Fish Dude

In Fish Dude, you control a distinctive black fish with a five o'clock shadow as he navigates ocean depths to fulfill stage quotas by eating smaller fish. Players use eight-way movement and A-button attacks to swallow prey, chews it, then swallows while avoiding bigger predators like Big Fish, Seagulls, and a floating feline in a sailboat. Once three stages are cleared and Fish Dude grows, it advances to harder difficulty modes with increased challenges. Unique mechanics include leaping briefly from the water to evade surface threats (except birds), using Octo Dude as a helper for tricky situations, and countering accidental captures by pressing B to expel unwanted fish from the mouth. The story follows Fish Dude's survival in the Parodius-inspired universe with quirky ocean foes and a diver character. It stands out for its absurd premise of a cartoonish fish protagonist, simple addictive gameplay, and short stages in a handheld format.
