About the Game

Frog Dude is an unreleased platformer prototype for the Sega Mega Drive developed by Twilight in the mid-1990s. You play as a frog who can transform into a mace-wielding prince, swapping abilities mid-jump or level for unique combat and traversal. The gameplay features cartoony side-scrolling action with jumping, tongue attacks, and collecting items across cartoonish levels. Story follows a prince-frog hybrid in a humorous adventure with no official release or sound effects in the prototype. Characters are limited to the customizable frog and prince forms, with no other named figures. What makes it stand out is the early dual-form transformation mechanic, though development was cancelled in favor of another Twilight title.
