Ghostbusters II

Ghostbusters II for Game Boy is an action-adventure game where you select one of four classic Ghostbusters (Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, or Winston Zeddemore) to control directly, firing the proton beam to stun ghosts while the AI partner automatically throws the ghost trap. Explore five action-packed stages filled with ghosts, traps, and hazards, collecting energy and points to progress. The story follows the film plot, with Dana Barrett's baby Oscar kidnapped by Vigo the Carpathian; rescue the child while battling the evil sorcerer and his minions. Characters are faithful to the movie with chibi-style sprites highlighting their unique traits (Egon's glasses, Ray's goggles, etc.). What makes it stand out is its simplified single-player level design with no co-op, focusing on quick stun-and-trap mechanics in a portable format.
