Happily Ever After starring Snow White

In Happily Ever After starring Snow White, you play as Snow White in this unreleased platformer prototype. The story follows the sequel to the Snow White tale: the evil Lord Maliss kidnaps the Prince, forcing Snow White and the female cousins of the Seven Dwarfs (Dwarfelles) to rescue him from his sinister kingdom. As a side-scrolling platformer, you navigate levels with platforming, combat using Snow White's spin attack (by pressing B), and special powers unlocked by fast B-button presses. It is a challenging, hard platformer with bright colors, cheery graphics, and female protagonist (rare on NES). Characters include Snow White, Lord Maliss, and the Dwarfelles. What makes it stand out is its unique gender-bending take on the fairy tale, with fun play despite the prototype status and difficulties in controls and hit detection. Single-player action-adventure with platforming and combat.
