Wagyan Land

Wagyan Land is a side-scrolling platformer where you play as Wagyan, a green mechanical dinosaur who must protect his homeland from the mad scientist Dr. Devil. Gameplay involves reaching the goal through side-scrolling stages, using vocal shouts to create paralyzing sound waves that stun enemies so you can climb or step on them to reach hidden areas. There are no traditional combat moves—success comes from jumping, timing, and clever use of the power meter that upgrades attack size and duration for temporary invincibility via the Wagyanizer. Boss encounters feature unique mini-games like Shiritori (Japanese word-chain game) and Concentration (memory matching) instead of physical fights. The story follows Wagyan crossing Wagyan Land to rescue kidnapped villagers, fighting Dr. Devil's forces while uncovering the fate of his brother in a linear yet inventive adventure.
