About the Game
Jurassic Park is a 1993 action-adventure platformer for the Sega Genesis where the player can control Dr. Alan Grant or a Velociraptor. As Dr. Grant the player navigates seven levels of Isla Nublar using a tranquilizer gun, stun gun, flash grenades, gas grenades and rocket launcher to reach the Visitors Center. As the Velociraptor the player must evade security guards and corner Dr. Grant at the Visitors Center, with only five levels available. There are three difficulty levels and password saves. The game features 'Artificial Dinosaur Intelligence' making each playthrough unique and includes the Jungle River level from the source material. What stands out is the dual control of Dr. Grant or the Velociraptor and the option to play as either protagonist or antagonist, a first for film tie-in games.
