About the Game

Kendo Rage is an action platformer for the SNES/Super Famicom in which the player controls Jo, an American high school girl studying kendo in Japan who gains magical powers. Gameplay is a 2D side-scroller featuring melee kendo stick attacks combined with ranged magic spells to defeat wacky monsters and bosses across colorful stages. The story involves battling evil forces while rushing to summer school on time. The game supports single-player mode only. It stands out for its quirky magical girl twist on kendo training, anime-style visuals, and humorous excuse-driven plot where every fight is just in-school homework.
