Mask, The

The Mask is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer where players control Stanley Ipkiss, a mild-mannered bank clerk, who transforms into the green-faced superhero after finding a mysterious Loki mask. The story follows the film: Stanley battles mob boss Dorian Tyrell and his gang to stop their takeover of Edge City and rescue his love, Tina Carlyle. Gameplay features cartoonish special attacks like boxing gloves, a mallet, tornado spin, and a bazooka horn, powered by Morph Points (M points) that fuel abilities; standard platforming, combat, and power-ups including health, extra lives, and save points. The single-player mode includes multiple levels across bank interiors, parks, prisons, and nightclubs with bosses resembling film characters like Mrs. Peenman and Irv/Burt Ripley.
