Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Metal Gear Solid (known as Metal Gear: Ghost Babel in Japan) is a stealth-action shooter on Game Boy Color. Protagonist Solid Snake infiltrates a shadowy organization to stop a bioweapon plot, using an array of gadgets and weapons in first-person view. Combat is tense and cover-based, with missions like stealth kills, base infiltration, and boss fights. Story includes major characters such as Big Boss and the FOXHOUND unit. Gameplay emphasizes silent takedowns, environmental puzzles, and resource management on a small handheld screen. What stands out is its faithful recreation of the PS1 classic with smart controls (crouch on Start button, crawl), 3D-like graphics for its era, and intense tension that defined the stealth genre.
