About the Game
Mortal Kombat 2 is a 2D fighting game featuring iconic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Sonya Blade battling across exotic locations. The game introduces new fighters and signature moves, with each character possessing unique fatalities—over-the-top finishing moves that define the series. Players compete in tournament mode or arcade ladder progression, mastering complex button combinations for special attacks. The Master System version delivers arcade-style combat with digitized graphics, though with reduced animation frames compared to arcade originals. Fatalities and brutal finishing moves became the franchise's hallmark, making this entry a defining '90s fighting game experience.
