About the Game
Kou Dai Bao Shi: Jin (口袋宝石 - 金) is a bootleg RPG port of Pokémon Gold for the NES/Famicom by Shenzhen Nanjing. Gameplay features basic turn-based battles with simplified mechanics: limited attack types (freeze stun and regular strikes), primitive damage by level difference, no typing/stats/criticals/evolution, and wild/trainer fights identical. Explore the Kanto region, catch Pokémon, train a team of up to six, battle gyms, and challenge the Elite Four to become Pokémon Champion. Story follows player starting in Viridian City, befriending rival, exploring cities, and collecting the eight badges.
