About the Game
Shadow of the Ninja (赤影战士-闇の仕事人 / KAGE) is a horizontal-scrolling action platformer on NES/Famicom. Players control either Hayate the ninja or Kaede the kunoichi (no character differences in co-op). Progress through stages by acquiring and upgrading ninja tools: shuriken (homing) or grenades (bouncing) for ranged attacks; kunai or kusarigama for close-range melee. No continues from death (only 5 continues total); use containers for recovery items. The story follows Hayate and Kaede infiltrating a military dictatorship to overthrow Emperor Galdar in a futuristic America.
