Sweet Home

Sweet Home is a survival horror RPG where you control a team of five documentary filmmakers exploring a haunted mansion to recover lost frescoes by the late artist Ichiro Mamiya. Gameplay features turn-based battles against monsters, puzzle-solving to navigate the mansion's rooms, and limited party management. The five characters are Kazuo (producer with lighter), Emi (his daughter with key), Akiko (director with first-aid kit), Taro (cameraman with camera), and Asuka (reporter with vacuum). When a character dies in battle, they stay dead permanently with no revival possible. What makes it stand out is its psychological horror atmosphere, intricate mansion layout, and innovative party mechanics where splitting teams of up to three allows independent actions, directly inspiring the Resident Evil series.
