Warrior of Magic

Majou Densetsu 2: Daimashikyou Galious (aka The Maze of Galious or Popolon's Adventure) is an action-adventure RPG featuring Popolon, a warrior from the first Knightmare game. The story begins with Popolon rescuing Princess Aphrodite from the demon Hudnos, but it is revealed as a trap by the evil Bishop Galious (Galious). The plot then shifts to Popolon and Aphrodite teaming up to rescue their unborn child Pampas, whose soul was stolen by Galious. Gameplay mixes platforming with exploration: side-scrolling castle navigation, whip combat, item collection, and RPG progression including experience points for leveling, health restoration, and weapon upgrades. The game features multiple stages, traps, and puzzle elements within the Greek castle. What makes it stand out is the deeper lore connection to the Castlevania universe, the twist on the rescue theme, and its blend of action-platforming with RPG growth.
