About the Game
Gradius (known as 宇宙巡航机 in Chinese) is a horizontally scrolling shooter where players pilot the adaptable Vic Viper spaceship through grueling enemy waves. Gameplay features power-ups for increased firepower, dash and hyperspace maneuvers, and strategic use of the Konami Code (up, down, left, right, up, down, right, left, B, A) to gain extra lives. Story follows a war-torn galaxy where scientists invent the Vic Viper to defeat the invading Gradians. Characters include the heroic pilot and the alien Gradians. It stands out for pioneering the iconic power-up menu system and launching the Gradius series.
