About the Game

X-Zone is a rail shooter developed by Kemco and published by Kemco for the Super NES in 1992. The player assumes the role of a super soldier in a flying power-armor suit tasked with destroying a malfunctioning bio-computer that has caused its global defense system X-TRA to declare war on humanity. Gameplay follows a linear path where you use the Super Scope light gun to rapidly fire a machine gun at incoming missiles and enemies while occasionally locking onto specific targets with a cursor to x-terminate larger threats. The game features four levels split into two areas, a single health bar with three continues, and heavy emphasis on intense action with minimal variations in enemy patterns.
