Xuan Yuan Sword: Heavenly Traces

This is a turn-based RPG action-adventure game for the NES/Famicom. Players control Chen Jingqiu as the protagonist, who teams up with companions including Yu Xiaoxue, Tuoba Yuer, and Zhang Lie to explore the world of Sui-Tang heroes and ancient gods. Gameplay features classic Famicom-style turn-based battles with attribute matching, skill selection, and exploration of maps and towns. The story follows Chen Jingqiu and his friends as they collect divine artifacts, battle demons and corrupt officials, and prevent a cosmic scar from destroying the world during the Sui-Tang era. Characters include the brave Chen Jingqiu (sword user), mysterious Yu Xiaoxue (ring wielder), fierce Tuoba Yuer (long sword), and loyal Zhang Lie (mace). What stands out is its faithful recreation of the 2000 PC original's epic plot, with water ink art style and historical/mythical blend in this licensed backport version.
