Battletoads

Battletoads is a beat 'em up platformer where players control one of three anthropomorphic toads—Rash (nimble class clown), Zitz (balanced warrior), or Pimple (powerhouse)—to battle the evil Dark Queen and rescue their friends Pimple and Princess Angelica. Gameplay mixes side-scrolling combat, running, climbing, and vehicle-based levels like the infamous Turbo Tunnel, with morphing abilities for new moves and vehicle piloting. Multiplayer supports two-player co-op on some modes, but the single-player experience is notoriously difficult with limited lives and no password saves. What makes it stand out is its over-the-top humor, tough platforming, and unique toad morph transformations that change gameplay entirely.
