About the Game
Dragon Crystal is a single-player turn-based RPG and roguelike for the Sega Master System. You play as a young boy Oshi in the Kingdom of Est who dreams of becoming a wizard. The story involves being pulled into a magical crystal world, exploring randomly generated dungeon floors to reach the 30th floor and touch the Dragon Crystal. Gameplay features turn-based combat where every move and attack counts as one turn, with enemies acting after the player; weapons and armor have random stats and can become cursed; items are mysterious and must be identified by use or throwing at foes. Characters include the young wizard Oshi and various dungeon monsters. What makes it stand out is its randomized dungeon generation and 30-floor roguelike structure, the first such game on the Master System.
