About the Game
Hissatsu Shigoto Nin is an action-adventure RPG based on the popular Japanese jidaigeki TV series of the same name (1979-1981). Players control Nakamura Mondo, a corrupt cop turned assassin, as he assembles a team of 'work people' (assassins) to solve mysteries and take out targets in an alternate feudal Japan setting. Combat uses three options: Attack, Defend, and Hide, with turn-based or real-time battles. The story follows the TV drama's first season but extends to later characters, featuring episodes of strategy and moral ambiguity. It stands out for its direct tie-in to the long-running Hissatsu drama series and its blend of period drama action with RPG progression.
