Mirai Shinwa Jarvas

Mirai Shinwa Jarvas is an action RPG where player-controlled Jarvas explores a post-apocalyptic Earth in the far future. After a spaceship returns and finds a ruined world overrun by monsters and ruled by warlords, the protagonist must recruit allies, conquer enemy castles, and defeat the seven warlords to unify and lead the planet. Top-down open-world overworld sections feature slow movement and basic melee/ranged combat (ranged unlocked later); dungeon and castle areas switch to Zelda II-style side-view combat with weapons and spells. Three classes are available for equipment, stats, and spellcasting; jobs and quests add progression. Battery-backed saves (first for Famicom RPG) allow saving at any time, but the game has bugs and soft locks. It stands out as one of the earliest Famicom RPGs with large-scale open world and save system.
