About the Game
Summer Games is a sports minigames compilation for the Sega Master System, featuring five track-and-field events: Pole Vault, 100m Dash, Gymnastics, Platform Diving, and 100m Freestyle. Players compete against each other in alternating turns, choosing their athlete and selecting the event. The 100m Dash and Freestyle are button-mashing races where you alternate rapid button presses to win the heat; Pole Vault requires precise timing with the D-pad to plant the pole and lift off for height; Gymnastics and Platform Diving demand careful button combinations for form and entry. Up to eight players can alternate turns. The game stands out for its simple, arcade-style controls and accessibility on the Master System, capturing the spirit of Olympic-style athletics in a compact, multiplayer-friendly format.
