Ultima - Runes of Virtue II

In Ultima - Runes of Virtue II, the player selects one of four companions from the original Runes of Virtue — Iolo the bard, Mariah the mage, Shamino the ranger, or Dupre the soldier — and explores the vast land of Britannia to rescue kidnapped mayors from the Black Knight. Gameplay blends action-adventure with RPG elements: combat uses real-time weapons and magic items that cost mana, while puzzles involve pushing objects, activating switches, and solving dungeon traps. The story centers on Lord British summoning the hero to stop the Black Knight's latest scheme of kidnapping all eight cities of virtue. Characters include the returning companions with unique stats and backstories, plus new NPCs in cities. What makes it stand out is the co-op multiplayer on Game Boy via link cable, larger explorable areas with towns, and improved cutscenes and animations over the first game.
