About the Game

Xak: The Art of Visual Stage is an action RPG, the first in the Xak series. Players control Latok Kart, a young warrior and descendant of the war god Duel, in a top-down view with real-time combat. Battles involve bumping into or swinging a sword at enemies, leveling up, and exploring dungeons and overworld with jumping mechanics for obstacles. The story begins in the village of Fearless where Latok meets the fairy Pixie and sets out to defeat the demon Badu on behalf of the king, searching for his missing father Dork along the way. Key characters include childhood friend Elise and the spirit of Duel guiding him. It stands out for its high-quality visuals on SNES, Ys-inspired gameplay with smooth movement, and engaging fantasy narrative.
