About the Game
Centipede is a classic fixed shooter where players control the Bug Blaster, a small insect-like creature, to destroy a segmented centipede advancing from the top of the screen through a field of mushrooms. The player uses a trackball to move the Bug Blaster and fires darts at the centipede segments; hitting a segment splits the centipede into two independent pieces. Shooting the head is worth 100 points, while other segments are worth 10 points each. Additional hazards include a spider that attacks from the side and a scorpion that moves horizontally. The goal is to clear all segments of the centipede before it reaches the bottom. It stands out as an addictive arcade-style shooter with increasing difficulty and non-stop action.
