About the Game

X (Lunar Chase) is a pioneering first-person space combat simulation on Game Boy. The player pilots a tank-like starship to defend a new human base on planet Tetamus II from mysterious alien invaders attempting to halt construction. Gameplay involves tank mode for ground exploration and air combat, with controls for acceleration, deceleration, turning, and firing, plus an auto-aim system. Missions include recovering a lost power crystal on the surface and battling through enemy waves. The story features a mysterious alien race threatening humanity. Standout elements are the game's innovative vector-style 3D graphics, early polygonal tech, and complex mission-based gameplay that influenced later titles like Star Fox.
