About the Game
The Story of Thor, The is a top-down action-adventure RPG on the Sega Mega Drive. Players control Prince Ali, who discovers a golden armlet that summons four elemental spirits: Dytto the water spirit, Efreet the fire spirit, Shade the shadow spirit, and Bow the plant spirit. Gameplay involves exploring open maps, solving environmental puzzles with the spirits, collecting items and weapons, and engaging in real-time combat against enemies and bosses. Story follows Ali's quest to defeat the villain wielding a silver armlet who has invaded the kingdom of Oasis. Characters include Prince Ali, the spirits, and antagonists like the silver armlet user. It stands out with seamless spirit summoning mechanics similar to The Legend of Zelda but with fluid real-time action, beautiful hand-drawn visuals, and memorable soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro.
