Vectorman 2

Vectorman 2 is a 2D action-platformer sequel where the spherical Orbot Vectorman returns to Earth after a missile destroys his sludge barge. He parachutes down and investigates a research facility overrun by aggressive mutant insects. Vectorman uses his default arm-blaster for projectile attacks and grabs power-ups for transformations, including tank mode, helicopter mode, roller skates for sliding, and brief animal assimilations (scorpion for lava walking, tick for giant fists, rhino beetle for horn dashing). The story centers on stopping the Black Widow Queen who controls the infestation to save the planet. Game modes include single-player 22 levels with adjustable difficulties and multiple weapon power-ups like laser beam and super energy shot. It stands out for its pre-rendered 3D spherical character models, fast-paced run-and-gun action blending platforming with shooting like Gunstar Heroes, and improved variety of morphs over the original.
